 TET Assam Recruitment 2023  

The Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam has issued two separate notifications regarding the recruitment of 5320 Posts of Assistant Teachers in Lower and Upper Primary Schools of Assam. There will be a total of 3887 posts in the Lower Primary and 1433 posts in the Upper Primary. Candidates who are eligible as per the official notification can apply online for the recruitment. The online application will be started from Midnight of 17th February 2023.

Name of Post: Assistant Teachers

Type of Schools: Lower and Upper Primary

  • LP Teacher: 3887 Posts

Name of Department: Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam

Pay Scale: Rs.14,000 – Rs.70,500 plus Grade Pay and other allowances as admissible under the rules.

  Required Educational Qualification  

The required educational qualification details differ post wise so we have provided this information below post wise.

Assistant Teacher (LP)

Educational Qualification: Candidates will need any one qualification from the list given below.

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002.
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-Year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

TET Qualification: Candidates must have passed Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for Lower Primary School.

Assistant Teacher (UP)

Educational Qualification: Graduate from the UGC recognized University and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B.Ed. or D.Ed. (Special Education) or B. Ed. (Special Education).

TET Qualification: Candidates must have passed Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for Upper Primary School.

Science Teacher (UP)

Educational Qualification: B.Sc. from the UGC recognized University and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B.Ed. or D.Ed. (Special Education) or B.Ed. (Special Education).

TET Qualification: Candidates must have passed Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for Upper Primary School (Science and Mathematics).


  Other Criteria of TET Assam Recruitment   

NIOS (ODL) Course: The candidate who has completed the 18-month D.El.Ed. course from the NIOS (ODL) will be treated at par and equally with the other candidates who have completed the 2-year course for the purpose of this recruitment process.

Nationality: An Indian Citizen and Permanent Resident of Assam is eligible for this recruitment.

Age Limit: Candidates age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 1st January 2023.

Age Relaxation: The upper age relaxation will be as follows.

Small Family Norms: No person having more than two living children on or after 1st January 2021 from a single or multiple partners shall be eligible for appointment as per the Government policy on Small Family Norms.

Candidates fulfilling all the required eligibility criteria for the recruitment of Lower Primary and Upper Primary Teachers will be able to submit their online applications on the official application portal developed by the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam. Now, an official web portal will load in the new tab of your browser.
In that portal, you will get the option to register yourself.
After registration, you have to provide all your asked details.
After that, you have to upload your documents.
After the successful completion of all steps, your application will be submitted.
Also, you will receive an acknowledgement copy of your submission.
Keep that acknowledgement copy for future use.

  Required Documents to Upload   

Candidates have to upload some documents while submitting the online application for DEE Assistant Teacher Recruitment of Assam. We suggest our users to keep ready the listed documents in scanned file format before proceeding with the online application process. Age Proof (Birth Certificate or HSLC Admit Card).

Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC).
Candidates with disabilities will have to enclose certificates of disabilities issued by the Government authority.
Certificate of NCC (Only B or C Category only), Sports & Cultural (if represented the state at the national Level).
Certificate of Ex-servicemen issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board.

Selection Process of Assam TET Recruitment
